Steven is a performer, director, actor and teacher. He has appeared as both a baritone and tenor with companies such as Walnut Street Theater, Candlelight Thater, Peter Nero’s Voices of the Pops, Commonwealth Opera, Opera of the Hamptons, Center Stage Opera, Opera Theater of Philadelphia, Lancaster Opera, Rose Valley Opera, Bel Canto Lyric Opera, Delaware Valley Opera (New York and Philadelpha), Chestnut Hill Symphony, Orchestra Society of Philadelphia, Trinity Opera Theater, King of Prussia Players and many others in the greater Philadelphia/New York/New England area. He has appeared in leading roles in opera, concert programs, and musical theater, having recently appeared as Figaro in The Barber of Seville, Germont in La Traviata, and Julius Caesar in Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar.
Steven was one of the original members of Peter Nero’s Voices of the Pops, and often appeared as a soloist in the Clifford Brown Jazz Festival in Wilmington, DE. Often performs jazz and standards in concert, restaurant and cabaret settings, and he was the producer of many concert/performance events at the Trinity Opera Theater in Philadelphia. Directed for groups such as the Rose Valley Chorus & Orchestra, Playcrafters, Stagecrafters, ACTS Community Theater, and directed Oliver! at the Merriam Theater. Conducted the children’s choir at the Rador-St. David’s Episcopal Church and teaches voice and performance privately, specializing in Musical Theater performance. Developed and conducted a Musical theater performance program used as curriculum at dance studios, the StageCrafters theater and in private venues.
